The following information describes new features, updates, or changes to Certara Admin. For a complete list of all changes, including bug fixes, see the Fall 2026 release notes.
All users
Contact us form includes your profile details
✅ This change helps Certara prepare for the conversation and respond faster.
When you send your request, Certara saves any fields you changed to your profile.
The Contact us form now has two steps and shows the information in your profile on a second step, so you can correct it or add missing details before you send your request.
The form changes only the fields you edit and saves nothing if you cancel.
Other improvements
Other notable changes for all users include the following:
The Home page now shows all available products.
Logging back in through SSO no longer ends in a page not found error.
Modules not assigned to you now appear without a checkbox on your profile page, so they are easier to tell apart from assigned ones.
Fewer required profile fields: this affects the profile, Contact us, and any other form that previously blocked on those fields.
Login page: the video is replaced with a static image.
Administrators
Bulk import or update users
✅ This saves Global Admins significant time when creating or updating users in bulk, replacing the need to edit each profile individually.
A new Import button is available on the Users > People page. The import options can be used to add/update user profiles or assign product environment access in bulk.
Previously, assigning product environment roles and licenses required editing each user individually in the UI.
You can download a blank CSV template that includes all supported fields. The CSV file can be used for the following:
User profiles: uploading a populated CSV creates new users or updates existing user profiles.
Product environment access: uploading a populated CSV adds product environment access for new users or replaces access for existing users.
During the import steps, you can copy or download a detailed validation report for import rows with warnings, and each individual change is recorded in the audit log.
Export
Global Admins can now export users in the format that the import expects. When you select multiple users on the Users > People page, export options appear under the Bulk actions button, and you can export their profile data or product environment access as a CSV report.
Tip: If several people need the same type of change, select them, export the CSV report, modify the report and save it, and then import the file.
For more information, see Import.
App integrations
✅ This gives Global Admins a secure, organization-managed way to connect their applications to Certara product APIs, eliminating the risks of personal API keys.
We've added App integrations to allow you to connect your application to Certara product APIs using a secure OAuth 2.0 framework. This provides a scalable and secure integration method for client and third-party apps.
Note: Certara enables this feature for your organization, and Global Admins manage app from Settings > App integrations.
Global Admins can create, edit, disable, and re-enable integrations. They can also rotate client secret keys.
For more information, see App Integrations.
Certara Admin API
To support App integrations and eSignatures, the Certara Admin API is now available to clients, including documentation and the OpenAPI specification.
To start building integrations with the Certara Admin API, log in as a Global Admin and see the public API documentation at <yourOrganization>.certara.net/api-docs. From here, Global Admins can download the OpenAPI specification to share with developers or integrating teams.
eSignature with client apps
✅ This lets client applications that use Certara product APIs request an electronic signature when a user takes an action that requires one.
A registered client application can now open Certara Admin’s eSignature page in its own dialog box to request a user’s electronic signature. Certara Admin checks that the application is registered and active, and then asks the user to sign in again to confirm their identity.
For more information, see the API documentation at <yourOrganization>.certara.net/api-docs.
Product environment external IDs
✅ This provides a stable, globally unique identifier for each environment that external tools, bulk imports, and API integrations can reference reliably.
Product environments (including existing product environments) now have a unique external ID.
Global Admins and Product Admins can view IDs. Certara Admin assigns an ID when a product environment is created, and the ID never changes, even if the environment is edited or deactivated.
User groups
✅ This improvement lets you organize users into groups that you can use to manage downstream product permissions.
Global Admins can create and manage user groups within an organization. You can view your own group memberships from your profile page.
For more information, see User Groups.
Other improvements
Other notable changes for administrators in this release include the following:
Save button added to SAML SSO options: The SAML SSO options card now includes a second Save button. This gives you a visual reminder that the card contains unsaved changes and lets you save without scrolling to the bottom of the card.
Selected SSO configuration is more obvious: When more than one SSO configuration exists, the SSO settings page no longer pre-selects one when the page loads. The administrator must choose one before changing configuration.
System API keys can have multiple product environments: You can now give a system API key access to more than one product environment, similarly to how you give product access to users. You no longer need to create a separate key for each product environment.
Mask API keys: Certara Admin now masks keys on the profile page and the API keys page.
User Audit report: This report now includes the SSO IdP and an excel-friendly date format.
If you need more information on a change, submit a Certara Admin Service Desk ticket or email Certara Support at [email protected].
