Managing Requests

Managing product access, roles or module requests as a Global Admin or Product Admin.

Users can request access to products from the product catalog or Organization Purchases list.

Once granted product access, users may also request additional Roles or Modules from their user profile. Certara Admin notify users when these requests are made and shows the request directly in the UI so you can act on it.

How you're notified

By default, Certara Admin will:

  • Send an email notification to the Global Admin(s) for your organization

  • Send an email notification to the Product Admin(s) for that specific product environment

  • Display the request directly in the Certara Admin UI (Role or module access requests)

You can turn off email notifications from your profile menu. See Your Profile.

Where to find requests

Product access requests

By default, Global Admins and Product Admins receive an email notification when someone requests product access.

If a user requests access to a product:

  • Follow the link to the user's profile in the email notification or go to Users > People > User Profile

  • Click Give access and select the required product for the user.

Your organization can change how "Request access" behaves for product access requests, for example, disabling it or redirecting users to your own internal request process. See Customize Product Access Requests for more information.

Role or module access requests

If a user already has a product, but requests a specific role or module (license) within it:

  • Go to Users > People

  • Look for a "Role Request" or "Module Request" label next to the user's name

  • Click into that user's Profile page

  • On the relevant product environment card, you'll see a "Requesting" label next to the specific role or module

  • From there, you can grant access or decline the request.
